Printing house
Coldset Printing Partners prints from its Paal-Beringen site (*) on 3 KBA Commander presses and on 2 KBA Cortina presses.
(*) There are also the production unit 'Mediahuis Nederland Drukkerij ' in Amsterdam and 'Mediahuis Noord' in Leeuwarden.
Amsterdam prints exclusively for the publications of Mediahuis Nederland on 4 MAN Colorman presses.
Leeuwarden is publisher of the Leeuwarder Courant, Dagblad van het Noorden, the Friesch Dagblad and numerous news and weekly newspapers and uses 3 MAN Geoman presses for this purpose.
Waterless printing
- Less polluting: no moisture on the paper and therefore no moisture additives
- Much less paper losses at start-up
- Fewer paper breaks because of the stable printing process and therefore also fewer paper losses
- Better inks (stickiness), resulting in less ink mist in the production process and less maintenance (costs) required
- In time, inks will be water-soluble and contain a much lower concentration of petroleum-based components
- Overall higher print quality
