Sizes and prepress

Between the moment you have your design ready and your design actually rolls out of the press, a lot happens, often behind the scenes. We call this phase prepress. Checking print files or preparing a printing plate.

At Coldset Printing Partners you have the possibility to choose in three formats:

Nordic size

• Broadsheet 405 x 570 mm  specifications
• Tabloïd 285 x 405 mm  specifications
• Magazine 260 x 370 mm (*)  specifications

Rheinisch size

• Broadsheet 365 x 520 mm  specifications
• Tabloïd 260 x 365 mm   specifications
• Magazine 240 x 330 mm (*)  specifications

Berlin size

• Broadsheet 315 x 470 mm   specifications
• Tabloïd 235 x 315 mm   specifications
• Magazine 230 x 295 mm (*)   specifications​​​​​​​

Special formats

• Tabloïd alternative A 285 x 315 mm
• Tabloïd alternative B 285 x 365 mm
• Magazine 260 x 295 mm (*)

 

(*) These are trimmed sizes

 

• Image files embedded in PDF file as high resolution image (300 dpi) CMYK.
• For web print, all data must be in CMYK, no PMS colours, no spot colours, everything converted to CMYK.
• The colour profile for the conversion from RGB to CMYK is IsoCoated V2 300.
• All fonts used must be embedded in the PDF.
• The quality of the printing is highly dependent on the quality of the processed pictures.
• The profile can be downloaded on Medibelplus
